SIM Racing Shifter Sequential by Heusinkveld Overview

The Heusinkveld Sim Racing Shifter Sequential is a system which is compact and durable. In real cars, there is an initial early peak force, after which resistance drops, this is created by using a ball spring resistance system. You get complete adjustability with the system for your taste, achieved via several shifter levers and knobs.

Engineering

The durable, compact Heusinkveld Sim Shifter Sequential enables it to be installed in even the most space limited simulator environments.

The shifter has been designed just like those often found in junior formula racing cars, mimicking their short throw features.

Using a ball spring resistance system, shifting requires an early peak force after which resistance drops. This simulates the feeling as if your gearbox slides into the next or previous gear when the lever is engaged.

The shifter is fitted with soft end-stops for the lever, resulting in a relative low amount of noise when shifting through gears.

Adjustability

Every shifter is supplied with three different levers: two straight levers which are 3050mm and one bent 50mm lever. As the resistance in the shifter unit itself is fixed, you can adjust the shifting force by attaching a different length of lever.

In addition, each shifter is also supplied with three different types of plastic shifter knobs, these too have varying lengths – from 46mm to 90mm. This combination of levers and knobs allows you to vary the lever/knob assembly from 76mm to 140mm – as measured from the top of the main shifter unit.

Mounting

Mounting is archived by three different methods.

  1. By a supplied table clamp, which of course is for any table like surface.
  2. By a mounting plate, which enables you to mount the shifter from underneath or the side by way of two bolt holes 40mm apart.
  3. Via you own mounting solution; the shifter has two M4 bolt holes on the underside, which can be used to mount it practically to any horizontal surface.
Adaptability

By mixing the three different levers and knobs, you are able to create nine different configurations.

Additionally, you may attach any other third-party knob of your choice, simply ensure that it also has a M10 thread. The change will take as long as it takes you to unscrew the current knob, and then screw on the one of your choice.

Controller

The Controller is integrated into the Sim Shifter Sequential and has two connectivity options by default.
The first is directly connecting the controller to you PC via the supplied USB cable, the shifter will show up as a separate device in windows.
The second is by connecting the Molex socket to an external controller, which as the Heusinkveld SIM Pedals USB controller, or other third-party controllers. Note, a cable is not supplied for this method, and you will need to create this cable.
